Counselling
We often seek a counsellor when we are struggling with a difficult time in life and that makes total sense to have that impartial support at that time. But counselling can also be used at any other time, as a unique experience for self-development and growth.
In either context, counselling can help to provide more of an understanding of yourself, your behaviours, thoughts and emotions.
I am not here to judge you or provide advice. What I am here for, is to work alongside you, as the two human beings that we are, sat together in a safe and confidential space where you can express yourself freely to someone impartial, without the worry of being judged or the intrusion of someone else's opinion,
As an integrative "transpersonal" counsellor, (which translates to that which is "beyond the personal"), the work could involve the more spiritual aspects such as mindfulness and meditation, intuitive guidance, relaxation techniques, guided visualisations to work with the soul, as these all provide ways of working towards wholeness of us as a human being. We are so much more than our minds and bodies. Embracing the spiritual aspects too, enables us to connect with our unique potential for healing and growth.
At Stepping Stones Counselling, I offer individual counselling tailored to your needs, whether short or long term. I help you explore patterns of behaviour, thoughts, and emotions to understand yourself better. My approach focuses on self-compassion and understanding dynamics in relationships. I guide you in recognising different aspects of yourself, their part to play in your relationships and empowering you to navigate life experiences effectively.
Compassionate. Insightful. Empowering.
Counselling for individuals
Some common challenges that couples may face in their relationships are infidelity and betrayal, communication issues, sexual problems, and feeling disconnected emotionally. It's important to remember that our past experiences can also affect how we view ourselves and our partners in the present. By acknowledging these factors, couples can work towards building a stronger and healthier relationship.

My job is to provide a neutral space where both parties can share their concerns and enhance their self-awareness and mutual understanding. I do not take sides or judge either of you, but rather observe the dynamics and identify any negative relationship patterns that may be impacting your relationship.
Communication. Understanding. Dynamics.

Spiritual counselling is a unique approach that bridges the gap between traditional talking therapy and connecting with the soul. By utilizing ancient techniques to expand consciousness, clients can enter a meditative state that allows for a more relaxed state of mind and a gateway to the subconscious. This approach can facilitate soul work and lead to profound personal growth, healing and transformation.

A session would usually consist of the first half in this deeper connective state of mind, allowing the second half to explore, interpret and integrate the learnings.
This is suitable for both current and new counselling clients. For new counselling clients, it is advised that a couple of more traditional talking therapy sessions take place first, in order to begin to establish our working relationship together. Then we will discuss together beforehand to agree on what approaches will be used in a session.
Soul. Wholeness. Potentiality.
