About me & how I work

Hello, my name is Dawn and I am a fully qualified and insured integrative Therapeutic Counsellor.

Working integratively means that I am able to draw from several different theories which enables me to adapt the work to suit your individual needs.  Our work together may also present the opportunity to sometimes include mindfulness, creative working and where relevant, guided meditation, if these feel beneficial to the work.

Having had my own varied life experiences, I feel this helps me to understand many of the difficulties that life can present us with.

I believe that we all have the potential to work with our own inner resources in order to live a more fulfilled life and so with this in mind, we can work together to help you to explore your feelings and issues in a way that feels comfortable for you.

I offer counselling to adults on either a short or long term basis, dependent on the client's needs and each session lasts for 50 minutes; usually sessions are booked at the same time/day each week.

My practice is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire and has free parking available outside.

I have worked as a volunteer Counsellor at Olive Branch Counselling, Wiltshire Mind and Wiltshire Revival (RASAC) as well as in my own private practice.  Please note the practice is on the first floor of the premises and has no lift access.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) (no. 00917584) and therefore I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
